Clomid

Clomhexal-- I suspect this is the European equivalent to Clomid (clomiphene citrate is the chemical name). This is an oral medicine that is often the first drug fertility doctors will prescribe, though it's not really a good choice for most older women. There are several manufacturers, but the chemical formula is the same at all of them. The most common side effects are headaches, mood swings (including depression), and visual problems. It also progressively thins the uterine lining and dries up cervical mucus, so you never want to use it for more than 2-3 months.
